It’s up to the individual to decide what to eat, says V Muraleedharan

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president V Muraleedharan on Monday said that it was completely up to an individual to decide what he or she wants to eat.

“It is an individual’s choice to decide what to eat. No one would come and ask him to not eat a particular food,” Muraleedharan said while talking to the press here. The BJP leader added his party had no plan to implement cow-slaughter-ban in Kerala.

“The BJP has never harmed the people’s freedom for food or clothing. Kerala does not have any law banning cow slaughter. The recent hullaballoo over beef-ban in the country is to tarnish the image of the Modi-government,” Muraleedharan said.

Asked about the death of Swami Saswathikananda, he said the controversy created over Swami's death was a conspiracy by the CPI-M.
