Alappuzha: SNDP general secretary Vellapally Natesan Wednesday said his organisation would not align with the Sangh Parivar outfits in Kerala.
“If it wants to be part of the Sangh Parivar outfits, there is no need to form a third front in Kerala,” Vellapally told reporters.
“The SNDP’s activities are not based on the likes or dislikes of the BJP,” he said.
“The media gives more priority for the news against the unity of the majority community these days,” he added.
Vellapally also dismissed Opposition leader V.S Achuthanandan’s allegations, saying that it was aimed at election gains.
“The parties in Kerala are panic foreseeing the success of SNDP’s Kerala Yathra,” he said.
In another development, the Congress mouthpiece Veekshanam, in an editorial today, called SNDP general secretary Vellapally Nateshan a ‘loathsome pest’.
The editorial alleged they were directing the reform movement, which was launched by Sree Narayana Guru and later led by leaders such as Dr. Pulpu and Kumaranashan, into the darkness.
