Dubai: A Dubai court has extended the judicial custody of M.M Ramachandran, the owners of the troubled Dubai-based Atlas Group, until September 29.
Ramachandran was presented to Judge Abdul Mohsin Sheaa, along with the defendant's lawyer, Hamad Ali, emirates247.com reported.
The court also accepted his lawyer’s request to grant him access to all the official papers related to the case so he could study them.
Atlas Ramachandran was arrested by Dubai police on Aug. 23 for defaulting on bank loans worth about 500 million dirhams ($136.2 million).
An investigation into the case is ongoing.
