Thiruvananthapuram: The official website of the Kerala government was hacked by a suspected pro-Pakistani group on Sunday.
“[!] Hacked By Faisal 1337. Official Website Government of Kerala Hacked! Pakistan Zindabad,” read a message appeared on the site, www.kerala.gov.in, after the attack. The hackers also posted an image on the site that showed the national flag on fire.
“We Are Team Pak Cyber Attacker, Security is just an illusion,” read the message.
The changes on the site appeared early morning Sunday. However, the other official sites of the government have not come under attack.
Cyber officials said that the hackers have not got access to the data of the government. As of now, the website shows an 'under maintenance' message.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, who termed the incident alarming, said that an investigation would be launched into the incident.
