Chandy calls on Kanthapuram Musliyar

Kozhikode: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy met Sunni AP faction leader Kanthapuram Aboobacker Musliyar at Markazu Ssaquafathi Ssunniyya, Karanthur, near here on Tuesday.

As per reports, the visit was to ensure support of the AP faction to T Siddique, Youth Congress leader who is the UDF candidate in Kunnamangalam constituency.

Chandy has also sought the support of the AP group in the other constituencies.

The Chief Minister, however, said the visit had no political motive. “I did not visit him over any political affairs. I meet him every time I visit Kozhikode,” he said.
