Benny Behnan not to contest from Thrikkakara

Kochi: Benny Behnan on Monday said he would not contest in the Assembly election from Thrikkakara constituency.

“I won't contest in the Assembly election from Thrikkakara constituency as KPCC president V.M Sudheeran is not interested in my candidature,” Benny told reporters.

“I’ve conveyed my decision to the Congress leadership. As a sitting MLA from the constituency, I did not face any criticism even from the opposition parties,” he said.

Meanwhile, there are reports that P.T Thomas is likely to be fielded from Thrikkakara constituency.
