Kochi: Former Congress MLA Sobhana George has quit the party.

She announced the decision on Wednesday and said she would contest from the Chengannur Assembly Constituency as an independent candidate. She has conveyed the decision to KPCC chief V M Sudheeran Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
