Thiruvananthapuram: Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala Saturday said the IUML had no role in resolving the crisis in the Congress’s list of candidates for the Assembly election.

“The IUML had no role in resolving the crisis in the Congress over the candidates’ list. The leaders of the Muslim League can inform their opinion to the Congress high command. However, that won’t be considered as a basis to take any decision ,” Chennithala told reporters.

“Everyone has equal responsibility if the Congress receives a setback in the election. The Assembly election will be an evaluation of the UDF, not Oommen Chandy,” he said.
