Thrissur: The Vigilance Court in Thrissur Monday has ordered quick verification against Congress former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on a complaint over irregularities in the appointments to Palakkad Government Medical College.
A quick verification has also been ordered against former Tourism Minister A P Anil Kumar on the complaint.
The complainant alleged that more than 100 staff appointments, including permanent and temporary ones, were made violating guidelines.
Most of the appointments were made on personal interests and recommendations, according to the complaint.
The preliminary report should be submitted before September 19.
