Maoism should be opposed: P Jayarajan

Kannur: CPI-M Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan on Monday said that Maoism is an ideology that should be isolated and opposed.

Mao is a mass leader who led a people’s revolution in China. But those who appear in the name of Mao these days are some jokers. What they are doing is just to malign the ideologies of Mao, Jayarajan said.

Maoists are harming Mao's ideologies. The CPI leaders like Binoy Viswam should clarify if they approve the actions of Maoists. They are living in a dream-world, said the Left leader.

Maoism does not help the growth of society. Maoists are trying to mislead the tribals. Their path is nothing different from that of Islamic extremists or Hindu fundamentalists, Jayarajan said.
