Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Centre for Advanced Printing and Training (C-APT) MD Sajith Vijayaraghavan has been suspended in connection with the corruption charges.

An investigation by Vigilance had found that he had involved in corruption. The Home Secretary had submitted an enquiry report the other day recommending his suspension.

It has been alleged that Sajith caused a loss of Rs 1.36 crore to the exchequer by availing printing machinery on rental basis. This move was against the decision taken by the C-APT executive committee.

The Vigilance had also found corruption to the tune of crores rupees in awarding the printing and bar-coding of lottery tickets to private agencies. As per the report, five persons are involved in the scam. The case has been booked with naming Sajith as the first accused.
