Sarah Joseph quits as convenor of AAP Kerala unit

Thrissur: Writer Sarah Joseph has resigned as the convener of the Kerala unit of the Aam Aadmi Party.

Sarah Joseph told Madhyamam online that she resigned from the post as part of the normal procedure for the reorganisation in the Kerala unit of the party.

“Though I had submitted my resignation letter in October, the party leadership accepted it now,” she said.

“It had already been decided that the incumbent leaders not to contest for the party posts for the next term. As part of it, I along with Manoj Pathamanabhan had submitted our resignation letters in October,” she said.

She also rejected the media reports that she resigned against the backdrop of the rift in the party.

“I had many times expressed my disagreement on various issues in the party platforms. My resignation doesn’t have any connection with those disagreements. We should not cling on to power,” she said.
