Thiruvananthapuram: Vellapali Natesan, leader of the newly-floated Bharath Dharma Jana Sena, on Wednesday said that if he is found guilty in the micro-finance scam, he will seek V.S. Achuthanandan's forgiveness.
Natesan's remark came after the Thiruvananthapuram Vigilance Court asked the vigilance department to probe the petition filed by Achuthanandan alleging that Natesan had committed a fraud and swindled money from government agencies using forged documents.
"A mere FIR being registered or a probe being announced does not mean that I am guilty. If I am guilty of the crime which Achuthanandan says, then I will crawl and prostrate before Achuthanandan," said Natesan.
Achuthanandan had visited the vigilance court here and submitted a petition against Natesan.
The court has directed the vigilance probe team to submit its report before March 5.
Ever since he launched his political party last year which has now firmly tilted towards the BJP, Natesan has come under attack especially from the CPI-M.
Natesan heads the SNDP Yogam, the social movement of the powerful Hindu Ezhava community.
