Gave Saritha contacts of high profile persons: Salim Raj

Kochi: Salim Raj, former gunman of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Friday deposed before the solar commission that he had given solar accused Saritha Nair the phone numbers of many high profile persons.

“I knew Sarith Nair. I had first met her at a programme attended by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at Kadaplamattom in Pala,” Salim Raj said.

“I had spoken with Saritha over the phone. Saritha maintained close relations with VIPs,” he said.

Salim Raj was suspended from service for his alleged involvement in solar scam. A probe conducted by ADGP Hemachandran had found that he had made frequent telephone calls to the scam accused Saritha Nair.
