Veteran journalist T N Gopakumar dies at 58

Thiruvananthapuram: Veteran journalist T.N Gopakumar passed away at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram early Saturday. He was 58.

Gopakumar was the editor-in-chief of Asianet News. He was famous for his news show ‘Kannadi’ on Asianet, which he anchored for 22 years.

He had worked as a special correspondent with Madhyamam Daily in Delhi.

He began his career with The Indian Express. He had also served as Delhi correspondent of Mathrubhumi, The Independent, India Today, The Statesman and Times of India.

The final rites will be taken place in the evening at Thycaud Shantikavadam.

He is survived by his wife Hyther Gopakumar and two daughters.
