Thiruvananthapuram: Vigilance Director Jacob Thomas has sought a legal advice to review the Vigilance report giving clean chit to former finance minister K.M Mani in the bar bribery case.

In a report given to the Vigilance court, the VACB had said it had not found enough evidence to prosecute Mani, who was forced to quit as finance minister.

The case surfaced in October 2014 when whistle-blower bar owner Biju Ramesh alleged that Mani was given Rs.1 crore as bribe by Kerala's bar owners to ensure reopening of the 418 closed bars in the state.
