No recruitment ban, says government

Thiruvananthapuram: The CPI(M)-led LDF government in the state, facing a severe financial crisis, Wednesday made it clear that there would be no ban on recruitments.

This was announced by Kerala Finance Minister T M Thomas Issac while speaking at the concluding debate on the general discussion on the 2016-17 state budget.

This clarification comes in the wake of some confusion following his statement during the budget presentation that new appointments would be allowed only in the health sector.

The minister said new posts would be permitted in the health, education and other sectors, as per norms.
