Thiruvananthapuram: The special court Monday returned the CBI’s charge sheet in the Kadakampally land-grab case.

Judge P V Balakrishnan retuned the charge sheet as it was silent on why 22 persons named as accused in the FIR were excluded from the case.

The court also asked the CBI to include the names of the accused and then re-submit it.

On Thursday, the CBI had filed its charge sheet in the Kadakampally land deal case without naming Salim Raj, the gunman of former chief minister Oommen Chandy, as an accused.

The first information report in the case had named Salim Raj as the 21st accused and his wife Shamsad, an employee with the land revenue commissionerate, as the 22nd accused.
