Thiruvananthapuram: The state cabinet meeting Wednesday did not take any decision on allotting a cabinet rank for CPI(M) veteran V.S Achuthanandan.
According to sources, the cabinet, which discussed the issue, left the decision on it to the LDF.
The CPI(M) politburo had earlier directed the state secretariat of the party to find an appropriate post for veteran leader V S Achuthanandan that is on par with the rank of a cabinet minister.
CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury had told reporters that a decision on it would be taken after considering the legal aspects too.
