Thiruvananthapuram: Gulf Madhyamam Daily Tuesday submitted a petition to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan seeking to address the grievances of Keralite expatriate workers residing in the Gulf countries.

“The expat workers in Gulf countries are hopeful as the chief minister himself holds the charge of the Non-Resident Keralite Affairs. We hope that the chief minister will consider our petition while the government forming its policy on expat workers,” Gulf Madhyamam editor V.K Hamza Abbas said after handing over the petition to the chief minister.

The petition, which is titled as ‘we are too Keralites’, seeks the chief minister’s intervention to a host of issues concerning the expat workers in Gulf countries.

V.M Ibraheem, executive editor of Madhyamam Daily and Vayalaar Gopakumar, deputy editor, also accompanied him to meet the chief minister at his chamber.
