Kozhikode: The Special Additional Sessions Court (Marad cases) Wednesday acquitted all the 17 persons accused in the Shibin murder case.
All the accused in the case were acquitted by Judge S. Krishnakumar as the prosecution failed to furnish solid evidence against them.
Shibin was murdered by an armed gang allegedly owing allegiance to the IUML at Vellur at Thooneri on January 22, 2015.
There are 18 accused in the case. One of the accused is a juvenile in conflict with law and his case was referred to the Juvenile Justice Board.
