Attack on media persons at Ottapalam court condemnable: Kummanom

Kottayam: BJP state chief Kummanom Rajasekharan Wednesday condemned the attack on media persons allegedly by the BJP-RSS activists at Ottapalam court complex.

“The persons who attacked the journalists should be punished,” Kummanom told reporters.

“The party won’t encourage any such act that hampers the freedom of the press,” he said.

Kummanom, however, declined to comment when the reporters’ asked whether the BJP would take action against the culprits.

A group of media persons were attacked allegedly by the BJP-RSS workers at the Ottappalam Court complex in Thiruvananthapuram when police brought six party workers, arrested in connection with post-assembly poll clashes, to be produced in the court.
