Thiruvananthapuram: The LDF government in Kerala is aiming at a corruption-free and transparent governance, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Wednesday said.

"A corruption free and transparent civil service is what the government is targeting," he said addressing the state Secretariat employees here.

Obsolete administrative rules would be done away with, he said adding e-filing and e-governance will be given thrust by his government.

E-governance would be immediately implemented at the Secretariat, he said at the meeting attended by senior IAS officers among others.

Action would be taken against the employees who fail to take decisions and delay early clearing of files, the Chief Minister said.

The applicants, who approach the government, with their grievances, can keep track of the progress of their files through telephones, he said.

On transfer of employees, he said accurate guidelines would be followed and there would be no political vendetta.
