Kozhikode: Renowned writer and journalist Babu Bharadwaj passed away on Wednesday. He was 68.
He breathed his last at a private hospital in the city where he was undergoing treatment after suffering a cardiac arrest.
He was the recipient of Kerala Sahitya Akademi award in 2006 for his novel titled 'Kalaapangalkkoru Gruhapadam'.
His other noted works include 'Pravasiyude Kurippukal', 'Shavaghoshayathra' (novelettes), 'Puppet Theatre' (short story collection), 'Pravasiyude Vazhiyambalangal' and 'Adrushya Nagarangal'.
The funeral will be held on Friday.
