CPI-M politburo will discuss cabinet rank for VS: Yechuri

New Delhi: CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechuri Thursday has said the party politburo will discuss the matter of offering a cabinet rank for veteran leader V.S Achuthanandan.

“It is the state government to take a decision on the cabinet rank for Achuthanandan. He had given me a letter in this regard on the occasion of the swearing-in ceremony of the LDF government,” said Yechuri.

“Achuthanandan in the latter had asked the party leadership to allot him the post of the LDF chairman with cabinet rank,” he said.
