Kochi: The Kerala High Court Monday observed there was no need for a CBI probe into the Jisha murder case.

The court was considering a plea filed by High Court lawyer TB Mini and Ajesh, a law student, seeking a CBI probe in the murder case.

A Division Bench, comprising Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan and Justice Anu Sivaraman, said there was no need for CBI probe as the police probe in the case was progressing in the right direction.

The court also expressed its concern over the way the media disclosed the name of the victim.

The petitioners, in their plea, argued that the police had failed to trace the culprits.

Jisha was found murdered on April 28 by her labourer-mother. The body was badly mutilated.
