Govt rejects recommendation for probe against Sreelekha

Thiruvananthapuram: The Chief Secretary on Saturday dismissed the recommendation for Vigilance enquiry against ADGP (Intelligence) R Sreelekha for alleged misuse of funds when she was the Transport Commissioner.

After an inspection, Chief Secretary S M Vijayanand rejected the recommendation submitted by the Transport Department. He further handed over the file to Chief Minister to take final decision in this regard.

The allegations against her include transfer of officials in AMVI/MVI posts violating the rules and use of MVD vehicle and official phone even after quitting the post of Transport Commissioner. The Transport Department also mentioned irregularities in the use of road safety fund.
