Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president V.M Sudheeran Saturday said the UDF and the LDF would not stage a joint strike in their protest against the Centre's decision to sideline cooperative banks following the demonetisation.

“The CPI-M should abandon its style of governance, which is similar to that of the BJP,” Sudheeran told reporters.

Meanwhile, Congress leader M.M Hassan said the CPI-M should take action against politburo member Muhammed Saleem, who had filed a complaint with the Union Finance Minister alleging corruption in the cooperative sector.

“As the cooperative sector is in the crisis, a joint protest is the need of the hour,” he said.
