Thrissur: A case is likely to be filed against CPI-M Thrissur district secretary K Radhakrishnan for divulging the name of the victim in the Wadakkanchery gang rape case.

Radhakrishnan divulged the name of the survivor and her husband while talking to the media about the suspension of party members P N Jayanthan and Bineesh for their alleged involvement in the case.

When reporters pointed that the names of sexual harassment survivors are not supposed to be divulged, he retorted, "If the name of the suspects can be divulged, the name of the complainant too can be released."

Radhakrishnan alleged the complaint has been made by a couple who hadn't looked after their children for years together. Even the husband's parents had filed complaints with the police, he alleged.
