Actress Kidnapping Case: One more accused arrested

KOCHI: The police arrested one more person involved in the kidnapping of a noted Malayalam Actress. The accused was identified as Anwar , an Ambalapuzha native, said police today. Anwar was taken to Aluva DYSP office for more questioning. Evidences that Anwar contacted Pulsar Suni, the main accused, through phone, have been obtained by the police.

The police have issued a lookout notice against the three accused, namely Sunilkumar, alias Pulsar Suni, hailing from Kodanad, Manikandan and Vijeesh.

Pulsar Suni alias Sunil Kumar, a film technician who conspired the abduction, is the main accused in the case. A search for him has been intensified.

The tempo traveller used by the team was found abandoned at Thammanam in Kochi. Meantime, Pulsar Suni had earlier tried to abduct an actress from Kochi in 2010. As a complaint was not lodged, the incident wasn’t known to the public.

Martin told the police that their intention was to blackmail the actress using her semi-nude photographs. The team had also planned to abduct another famous married actress in a similar way. Suni is an accused in several cases. The case first registered at Thrikkakkara police was later handed over to Nedumbassery Station.
