Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the High court's criticism of Vigilance is a matter of high concern. "The government has not taken a unilateral decision regarding the cases dealt by Vigilance. We will approach acting Chief Justice for clarifications", he said.

The court had came down heavily of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau while dealing with different cases in the last two days.

Regarding the promotion of N. Sankar Reddy as VACB Director, High Court on Monday observed that the state government would have to think very seriously and decide whether the VACB should be allowed to reign over the government. On Tuesday, VACB was again criticised by the court for what it doubted the double stand the agency took into the bar bribery case.

"Vigilance cannot refuse complaints that come before it. They are entitled to receive complaints from the people directly. If case is not registered in the complaints, Vigilance court often intervenes", CM said.

In the case of attack against the actress, CM said that police has taken effective measures and the government will assure that the accused will not evade the rules.
