Kochi: Kerala will soon have a law for resolution of disputes in the film industry, said Governor P. Sathasivam. Delivering the customary policy address to the State Assembly this morning, the Governor said the law would be framed based on the recommendations of the Adoor Gopalakrishnan Committee.

The Governor said the Tourism Department would come out with a 'Safe Kerala' app to help tourists to reach out to nearest police stations and the online communication system of the department.

The Government would take steps for construction of a hill highway from Kasaragod in the north to Kaliyikkavila at an estimated outlay of Rs. 7,000 crore. The feasibility study report is expected soon, he said.

A Kerala Metropolitan Authority Bill is in the making. Rainwater harvesting will be made mandatory for all buildings. The Kerala Water Authority will provide two lake lakh house connections. In the power sector, the government's effort will be to achieve carbon neutrality at the individual level. It will be made mandatory for buildings having more 3,000 sq.ft. to have solar panels.
