Temperature continues to soar in Palakkad; Meteorologists see chance for midsummer rain

Palakkad: Temperature continues to soar in Palakkad district of Kerala. In the meteorological centre at Pattambi, working under Kerala Agricultural University, a maximum temperature of 39.4 degree Celsius was recorded on 25th February. This is the highest temperature recorded in this centre during the season. A temperature of 35.8 degree celsius was recorded in the last year on 25th February.

Meanwhile, meteorologists said that there was a chance for a midsummer rain and rise in temperature is an indication of it. Dr. K.M. Sunil, Meteorologist of Agriculture University, said that increase in the temperature has caused cloud formation and there is a chance for a rain within four days.
