Actress attack case: Statement recorded again

Kochi: The police have again recorded the statement of the actress who was kidnapped and assaulted inside a moving vehicle in February.
ADGP Sandhya who leads the probe, recorded the actress’s statement at the Aluva police club on Thursday. The move comes after the leads hinted at the involvement of persons in the film industry in the incident.
The police have earlier claimed to have collected more evidence in the sensational case.
Pulsar Suni, the key accused is currently lodged at the Kakkanad district jail. He had reportedly made revelations about the incident and persons involved, to his co-inmate Jinson. The jail authorities, informed by the inmates, alerted the investigating officers.
The team reached the prison and recorded Suni’s statement. The police had filed a charge sheet against seven accused on April 18. They are likely to submit another charge sheet.
Once Jinson’s statement is recorded before a magistrate, the police will officially seek permission from the court for further investigation.
The actress, a popular face in the industry, was abducted and assaulted inside the car on February 17.
