Mattannur: GoAir service from Kannur to Chennai began on Tuesday.
Scheduled on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the service will begin at 6.10 pm from Kannur and in the return journey, will reach the airport by 9.20 pm the same day.
GoAir also conducts services to Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
One more service to Bengaluru will begin from December 15.
Besides, passengers of the first flight from Doha who reached here on Tuesday early morning were given a welcome by Qatar-Mattannur Area Sauhrudavedi.
The organizers welcomed the passengers distributing sweets and playing bands. Welcome was arranged in Vaayanthodu too.
