Kerala police arrest Rahul Easwar in Palakkad

Thiruvanthapuram: The Kerala police on Monday arrested Rahul Eswar after a court in Pathanamthitta’s Ranni had cancelled the bail granted to the leader of Ayyappa Dharma Sena(ADS).

A team of cops from South Police Station, Palakkad took in custody Rahul from a Government rest house here. He was attending a meeting of ADS at the time. Police would produce him in court shortly.

Earlier Rahul was granted bail in the case relating to the attack on women journalists and pilgrims at Sabarimala in October.

Rahul was at the forefront of agitation at Sabarimala following the SC order allowing women of all age groups to the hill shrine.

Last week, police had filed a report in the Ranni court describing Rahul had disobeyed bail conditions set by the judge.
