KSRTC fooling public and court: High Court.
text_fieldsKochi: The Kerala High Court came down heavily on KSRTC as regards terminating the temporary employees. The government on Monday informed the court that termination procedures have started.
The court, however, observed that KSRTC was fooling both the court and the public.
Ensure there is not a single temporary employee in the service, said the court and directed KSRTC MD to personally submit an affidavit regarding this by 10 am tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Transport Minister AK Saseendran on Monday said termination of temporary conductors would pose a huge setback for KSRTC. He was responding to the HC order.
The minister said his hopes for saving the corporation from debt have been lost; the decision would pose huge threat to the debt-ridden KSRTC.
With the incoming 8000 permanent employees, the situation at KSRTC would worsen. The situation will be informed to the court, he said.
With the order coming in force, as many as 3861 temporary employees will be laid off on Monday. Alongside, the government, reportedly, will send advice memo to 4051 new candidates.
