IG Sreejith will investigate Sanal murder

Thiruvanthapuram: IG Sreejith will lead the investigation of murder of Sanal Kumar in Nayyattinkara.

The decision comes after Sanal’s family pressed for probe led by an official in IPS rank.

Days after his death in accident after a scuffle with DySP Harikumar, who is still absconding, Viji, widow of the victim had said she would start a strike and move High Court if her request was not met.

The Crime Branch on Sunday arrested from Tamil Nadu Satheesh who had given Harikumar sim cards.

Meanwhile, Viji said she was happy with the government’s decision.

Currently, the case is being investigated by Crime Branch SP KM Antony.
