Sabarimala: the state to seek guidelines from SC
text_fieldsBengaluru: Kerala government might approach Supreme Court seeking detailed guidelines on how to implement the apex court’s verdict admitting women of menstruating age to Sabarimala temple.
The decision to approach SC has taken reportedly due to consistent protests by right wing outfits against implementing the order.
According to anonymous sources quoted in the media, the state will request for more clarity on the order as well as informing the court of the difficulties the state has been facing in its attempts to remove protesters from the temple.
Earlier, the Kerala high court criticised the police for inconveniencing devotees while keeping protesters at bay, prompting the state government to move SC for more clarity on implementing the order.
Some 45 petitions have been filed in the high court against the police action
