Kochi: Actor Dileep, the accused in the actress-assault case, moved court seeking permission to travel to Germany for a month-and-a- half as part of shooting a film.

However, the prosecution argued against the move dubbing it as a ploy to prolong the trial.

The popular actor in his plea sought his passport to travel to Frankfurt from December 15 through January 30 next year.

The actor said that he would comply with any condition and prayed to the court to allow stamping the visa for the trip.

The prosecution however told the court that the charge-sheet has been filed and delaying the trial would be an injustice to the victim. The case has been posted to hearing on November 9.
