Tantri family files review petition in SC
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Sabarimala tantri family has filed a review petition in the Supreme Court against its verdict allowing women of all ages to enter Sabarimala temple.
Kandararu Mohanaru and Kandararu Rajeevaru filed petitions separately.
The Supreme Court constitution bench did not consider the rituals and customs while pronouncing the verdict.
It is the tantri family that has the right to take final decision regarding the rituals of the temple.
Idol worship is inevitable in Hindu religion. The idol has its own rights.
The petition also noted that the Supreme Court did not consider the rights of the deity as per Article 25 (1) of the Constitution, said the tantri family in the petition.
Earlier, NSS and Pandalam palace had also filed a review petition against the Supreme Court.
However, the apex court will consider the review petitions only after October 28.
The court had earlier rejected their plea to urgently consider the petition.
