Thiruvananthapuram: The Devaswom Board has decided not to file a review petition against the Supreme Court verdict that allowed women of all ages to enter into the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple.

The board has now decided to submit a detailed report about the prevailing critical situation in Sabarimala. The Travancore Devaswom Board meeting held here also decided to have the services of senior lawyer Manu Abhishek Singhvi for this purpose.

Presently, there are more than 25 review petitions filed in court.

‘There are attempts to politicize the issues in Sabarimala. Devaswom Board will not play such political games. The board does not want to turn Sabarimala into a battleground’, said the president.
