Kochi: Minister Kadakampally Surendran has come up against the revelations of Ayyappa Dharma Sena president Rahul Easwar over Sabarimala protest.
In a press meet here, Rahul Easwar had on Wednesday said that a group of 20 volunteers in Sabarimala who were ready to spill blood from wounds and desecrate the temple, so that the temple would then have to be closed.
Minister said that Rahul Easwar was involved in sedition activities and the government will be taking the issue seriously.
Rahul Easwar has responded by saying that the Minister was lying and was trying to get him arrested by giving a malicious spin to his words.
‘I has only said that 20 people were standing ready to do it. But I advised them against it,’ Rahul said in a live video posted on his Facebook page.
Earlier, Kadakampally had called Rahul a loudmouth and said that it was a conspiracy that was hatched by him. He also said that the government considered this as a conspiracy to trigger a riot at the Sannidhanam and not as a slip of tongue from Rahul.
Meanwhile on Thursday, Rahul who leads the stir against women’s entry to the temple, made an abrupt change of stance.
In a social media post, he denied having any role in the plan to desecrate the temple.
