text_fieldsThiruvanthapuram: BJP national president Amit Shah said on Monday that the party’s national leadership would throw its weight behind the state BJP’s protest in Sabarimala issue.
He made clear the party’s stand during his interaction with the state leadership here.
He urged party leadership to intensify the protest, and asked them to ensure the support of caste outfits.
The state leadership should take into confidence NSS alongside SNDP, and work keeping in mind upcoming parliamentary elections.
Amit Sha asked the state leaders to begin identifying potential candidates too. Five people including G Raman Nair, former president of Trivancore Devaswom Board and KPSC executive member, joined BJP in the presence of Amit Shah.
Others who joined the party include former ISRO chair G. Madhavan Nair, and Dr. Prameela Devi, who was women’s commission member during UDF tenure.
