Raghavan should withdraw his candidacy: LDF

Kozhikode: LDF sought the withdrawal of candidacy of sitting Kozhikode MP MK Raghavan as a sting operation of a national news channel revealed a video in which Ragavan appeared as seeking bribe of 5 crore rupees.

Raghavan should withdraw his candidacy for the Lok Sabha election and should resign from the MP position, LDF leaders said in a press conference.

It is due to his fear that Raghavan is blaming LDF's conspiracy behind the video.  He is trying to save himself by blaming LDF.

Accepting the money of 5 crore rupees offered by the sting operation team, shows the corruption of the MP.  MK Raghavan befooled th eElection Commission by accepting the expenditure of 20 crore rupees in last election,  when the provision is only to spend  70 lakh. LDF leaders said they will complain this to election commission, chief electoral officer and returning officer. He is also indicating that he got 2 crore rupees from AICC to spend for election campaign.

In the video,  Raghavan is also seen indicating the money he spent for alcohol during the election time. All this is black money. This shows tht Congress party is using illegal money for election campaigns. He is asking the team to hand over the money to his secretaries at New Delhi.  Everyone knows his secretaries are good in this kind of work.   LDF leaders including Elamaram Kareem, P Mohanan, Mukkam Muhammad, TV Balan, PT Asad, P Kishanchand and KG Pankajakshan were present a the press conference.
