Thiruvananthapuram: CPM polit bureau member Brinda Karat said on Monday that Muslim league did not have any credentials of a secular party.
Attacking Congress president Rahul Gandhi, she said he was contesting from Wayanad constituency with the help of Muslim league, a party sans secular credentials.
At a face to face programme organised by Kerala Union of Working Journalists, she said CPM and LDF were against mixing religion or caste with politics.
RSS and BJP were attempting to divide this country along the lines of caste and religion. Left parties were the only ones opposing BJP’s caste and communal politics, she added.
Rahul Gandhi is like any other candidate and LDF is aiming to win all 20 seats in Kerala including Wayanad.
Now SP-BSP alliance is blaming Congress for splitting anti-BJP votes. Congress always does this in every state, Brinda alleged.
