Custody of Abdul Qadar Rahim: Police submits report

Kochi: The local police submitted a report before the court on taking Kolliyil Veettil Abdul Qadar Rahim, from Madavana, Kodungalloor, into custody suspecting terrorist links.
Details of the report submitted by Central Circle Inspector before Ernakulam CJM court has not been disclosed. Meanwhile, actions on the plea before the court were stopped as per the report of the police.
Rahim surrendered before the court on Saturday while an enquiry was going on against him alleging terrorist links.
Police took him into custody while awaiting the due process on an application submitted by him to surrender before the court.
The court had asked the police to submit a report on the case against him and his custody on Saturday. Hence, the police informed the court that the petitioner has been released.
The local police and other intelligence agencies had interrogated Raheem more than 24 hours. However, he was released as the alleged terrorist links could not be established.
