Kannur: The CBI on Monday filed a chargesheet against two CPI-M leaders in Kerala over a 2012 murder case.
While P. Jayarajan, the district secretary of the CPI-M in Kannur, was charged under Sections 302 (murder) and 124 b (criminal conspiracy), MLA T.V. Rajesh has been charged only under 124 b.
The chargesheet was filed before the Tellichery Court here. A hearing is slated for Thursday.
Jayarajan and Rajesh were arrested and jailed following Abdul Shukoor's murder in February 2012, but they secured bail later that year in August.
Shukoor was a 22-year-old Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) activist.
