Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Water Authority's own packaged water, Thelineer, will hit the market soon.
Water Resources Minister K. Krishnankutty told the journalists that the bottled-water plant at Aruvikkara is ready for commissioning and it will start functioning once it obtains mandatory licenses. The minister visited the plant on Wednesday accompanied by top officials of the Water Resources Department and KWA.
Mr. Krishnankutty said a decision on Thelineer's price is yet to be taken. The packaged water will be available in 500 ml, one litre and two litre bottles and 15 litre canisters.
Thelineer will be made available in government offices across the state and through small-scale traders and Kudumbasree units.
