Kochi: Versatile actor Jagathy Sreekumar will soon face camera again, appearing in an ad film, says his son Rajkumar. The actor has been confined to indoors following an accident on March 10, 2012.

He sustained multiple injuries on his head and chest and abdomen when the car he had been travelling hit a median at Tenhipalam in Malappuram district.

The accident impaired his ability to speech, and was unable to recognize people.

Steady treatment over the years has improved his condition.

“Doctors have advised us that bringing him in front of the camera would be a major boost in his recovery process. He has always loved cinema and cherished being in the company of actors and technicians,” The Hindu quoted his son as saying.
